About Eco Approach

Who they are, and why we work with them.

Eco Approach are a UK energy-efficiency company, founded in 2013, with a head office in Beckenham and bases in Preston, Milton Keynes and Wrexham. They survey properties, model the options and install measures such as insulation, heating and solar under the accreditations that work requires.

Their assessment starts with a survey — an EPC with extra data collected — then models the property with different combinations of measures. The result is a costed plan of the works needed to reach EPC C, or to compliance through an exemption where one applies.

We arrange the assessment as part of our 2030 Ready service and stay your point of contact. We talk you through the report, then price the works as an itemised quote you can phase: fabric works by our own team, and grant-funded measures such as heat pumps and solar fitted by accredited installers.

How we work together

Who does what, from first visit to handover.

Their part
The assessment: the survey, the modelling and a costed plan of the measures that would bring the property up to standard.
Our part
Everything around it — we arrange the assessment, talk you through the report, and price and deliver the works as one programme.
Your contract is with
Us. We instruct the assessment and stay your point of contact throughout.
  1. 1

    Check it's worth doing

If your EPC is below C, or a low C on a certificate that is more than a year old, an assessment usually makes sense. If it doesn't, we'll say so.

  2. 2

    Survey and modelling

Eco Approach survey the property and model the options.

  3. 3

    Your plan, priced

We turn their costed plan into an itemised quote and a programme you can phase.

  4. 4

    Works and certificate

We deliver the fabric works, accredited installers fit any grant-funded measures, and the EPC is re-lodged at the end.

Questions

Working with Eco Approach.

Is EPC C for rented homes the law yet?

Not yet. It is confirmed government policy direction with a 2030 horizon, but the legislation has not been passed and details can still move. That is exactly why a costed plan now beats guessing.

Who do I deal with?

Us. We arrange the assessment, stay your point of contact and quote for the works. Eco Approach carry out the survey and the modelling.

My EPC is a low C already — do I need this?

Possibly. Assessment methods are expected to change later this decade, and a marginal C on an older certificate can drop when it is reassessed. If your score is near the boundary, an assessment settles it.
